Class Description

An uplifting, deep, slow flowing class uniting breath and movement exploring areas of tension to deeply relax mind, body and soul. Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word that means ‘to place in a special way’ and is a style of yoga characterised by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. The breath is the central focus around which everything else flows. Considered a ‘moving meditation,’ Vinyasa is about harmony and balance, grace and fluidity. We move and notice how we are moving and what moves us. If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day.
