Class Description

This slow flowing class blends Vinyasa yoga with elements of Qigong. Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique that combines movement, mental concentration and breathing to increase and balance your vital energy, or ‘Qi’. Pronounced ‘chee-gong’, it loosely translates as ‘vital energy cultivation.’ Through slow, gentle movements the body is warmed, improving circulation. The practice helps manage stress and negative states of mind by balancing Qi resulting in improved wellbeing and inner tranquillity. With its focus on nature, it brings a welcome vibrancy and inspiration to city life. Please bring your own mat if possible. If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day.
